Read and Reading...
I read three books this month...
Freedom Under God by Venerable Fulton Sheen ~ Read my review at Catholic Mom
I did a lot of research for this article, and I'm quite proud of how it turned out~ do me a favor and read it, you will learn quite a bit about a modern-day saint!
Bread and Wine by Shauna Niequist ~ Read my review!
Take Joy by Jane Yolen .... I have been perusing many Books on Writing...here's my Recommended Reading List for books in general, on Pinterest, still a work in progress!
Also, if you have a chance to pick up- or better yet subscribe to- Poets and Writers magazine, there is a nice interview with Elizabeth Gilbert of Eat, Pray, Love fame. Totally, totally inspiring! Definitely check it out.
Reading Kristin Lavransdatter by Sigrid Undset (I'm trying to read about 25 pages a night.... it takes me an hour). I'm taking it slow, trying to focus on the babies. :) I have LOVED it. I have a post about this in the works, look for it late November.
The Civil Wars ~ Barton Hollow (check this one out!)
Chocolate Coconut Crunch Cookies, inspired by Shauna Niequist
Also, these. seebelow. No, we don't have TJ's in Chattanooga, but I went to Annapolis for these cookies. ;)
Nothing. :( Recommend a movie, could you?
The Worship of Children Brings Only Misery ~ The Guardian
Children Are the Opium of the People ~ The Telegraph
A Crime For Our Times ~ Dappled Things
Why You Should Memorize Poetry ~ Dappled Things
DuPont sued ~ The Epoch Times
And my interest in it (we recently visited the DuPont family estate, Winterthur (pronounced Winter-tour)...I also spent about three or four hours doing research for this blogpost. I personally find it VERY interesting!)
Gluten-Free Soul-Cakes for Hallowtide ~ Carrots for Michaelmas
Exactly what is Hallowtide, you may ask? Now you know. :)
Seldom Have Truer Words Been Said @ SimpleMom
I would like to say "preach it," especially having grown up in a deterministic Calvinist household/World. Ok, I will. PREACH, Tsh. PREACH.
