This. Kid! ...is too much.
Monday, we had to get out, so I took the littlest girls and Anders with me to Chik-fil-a for lunch. We actually just went through the drive-thru and brought the food home. Frances fell asleep on the couch without even eating a bite of it. It is very rare for her to skip lunch. I gave it to her in a bag when she woke up, because it was time to pick up Molly from school. Usually Molly is famished, so I gave Molly some food, as well. Neither of them ate it. We went straight from Molly's school to my friend's house for a playdate. She has a beautiful home, and fortunately we had hot tea and coconut banana cookies. It was great fun for all, and my sweet friend was excited to meet the baby. The girls ate a good dinner. We put the kids to bed and went to bed early ourselves. Fun fact about my friend is that she was the one who introduced me to the blog Like Mother, Like Daughter. Her home and her homeschooling space rival that of Leila and her lovely daughters.
just look at him! comfy. cozy. jazzy. :) sweet!
Tuesday, I got up to do Molly's hair. Madeleine woke up shortly after, and Anders was awake before too long. I got breakfast for Madeleine and we watched old school Sesame Street on Netflix while we waited for Frances to wake up. I took F's temperature when she got up because she was flushed, and stayed that way after breakfast. It was 99.3. Low grade fever ... I got her dressed and turn on the AC but later it shot up to 101. I called the Doctor's wife (my Mom), and decided it was tylenol and rest for her. It makes you feel helpless when you don't know where the fever is coming from. She said nothing was hurting... however, we all had a bug last week. The next day Madeleine had the bug. Ugh.
For a snack, I shared the joys of Nutella with Frances. After nursing Anders right after that, I'm pretty sure he smiled for the first time.... I know... 3 weeks is too early, but still... it was Nutella. :)
Frances: Where did you get the intella?
Me: At the store..... at Walmart.
Frances: I can get some more intella if it's gone. I can get some at the store.
Me: Are you going to get some for me at Walmart?
Frances: I can get it if someone drives me... I can't drive.
(a few minutes later)
Frances: What does the baby eat?
Me: He drinks milk.
Frances: But what does he eat? Just your milk? Daddy's milk?
Me: No... he just drinks Mommy's milk, and someday when he's older he'll eat food.
Frances: Like what?
Me: Well... cereal....
Frances: And intella?
We're setting their priorities straight from a young age. :)
Madeleine is doing much better in regard to adjustments to baby. The first couple of weeks (especially the third week), she was incredibly clingy, whiny, and fussy. No longer the baby, she screams to be held, but there are times when I simply can't hold her. It turns out we all had a bug this week, but hopefully we can go back to tot school next week!!
Our Wednesday, Thursday, and Fridays pretty much looked the exact same... take littles to playground, miraculously they all take a nap... go to bed early... repeat!
For Labor Day weekend, we got together with my parents, Aunts, and Uncles (on my Dad's side) at the Lake cottage. On Sunday we had dinner with Stephen's family. All in all, a great week.
hmm... maybe I can find a good picture to update my profile on Facebook?
Nope....No make-up and must get haircut immediately.
I know why you're here....not to see pictures of me. :)
He is such a heartfull of joy. Now this is a much better pic, I made it my cover.
P.S. Did anyone see this fun mug swap idea on acuppakim? And can someone else in the blogosphere host another one kinda soon? I would gladly participate!! :) I'm going to host it if no one else does.
