~ Capturing the context of contentment in everyday life ~

~Pretty~

Sporting pigtails

~Happy~

Playing happily and contentedly for an uninterrupted 20 minutes or so.

And I'm happy this week because I found out that a very good friend of mine is having a girl! This is her first, and I'm so excited. I can't wait to meet this gal and hear her name!
She can be a friend to Madeleine!
Well, ok, she can be friends with Molly and Frances, too.

~Funny~
This week I asked Molly to look through Daddy's photo stream and pick out the ones she thought were funny. These two were her picks! Frances is playing at the Creative Discovery Museum. Molly was pretending to be a snowman. :) Daddy took both of these.

~Real~

She helped with homemade tortilla chips. She wanted to sprinkle the cinnamon and sugar. The real? All of the clutter in the background! Goodness gracious.

And, I don't have a picture to show for this, but we're trying to potty-train Frances.  She is resisting this one to the hilt.

She used to show interest- at 18 months she sat on the potty. Now I can tell her frustration level about the issue is rising, though she remains firmly in denial.

I want to help her and make this a smooth and peaceful transition, but it is more like chaos and bad feelings on her part and mine.

Any advice you might have to offer is welcome. Books? Videos? Diet ideas? I'm blaming it on myself, because I'm not good at motivating, at all. But she has lost interest and I need advice.

Your first photo is beautiful, you really could enter that in a photo contest. Loved the kitchen clutter, mine looks that way too!

Read her the 3 little pigs and teach her to line up her toys. Can't explain now :)
Then pick a week and let her run around (moderately confined to kitchen/hard floor area) with just a long shirt -- nothing on her lower area.
NO pullups, ever.
Buy some awesome "big girl pants."
Get out the m&ms.
This is my wisdom, but the truth is that no one knows how children ever get toilet trained!!
MWAH!

Thank you Kathy! :)

Leila thank you for your wisdom! She already seems more motivated and I just now read this.

I think someone (probably grandma) is praying for us:)
